Reducing how much energy is used is a key part in reducing the amount of carbon released into the atmosphere and is something we can all play a role in. Products and technology are improving and legislation is driving us away from older inefficient technology. LED lightbulbs for example use far less energy than a traditional Edison bulb and insulating homes better put less strain and demand on heating. We put funds into projects that replace inefficient products with energy efficient ones, such as cooking stoves. This directly reduces the amount of carbon being released.
